Since the introduction of the Amiga A1000 computer system in 1985, AMIGA has represented the embodiment of the efficient use of memory and drive capacity, while pioneering industry developments in multimedia, 32-bit multitasking and autoconfiguration. AMIGA led the industry in combining computer graphics, animation, and film sequences with stereo sound -- known today as multimedia.

    Jeff Schindler, General Manager

    Jeff became the General Manager of Amiga, Inc. in mid-1997, at the direct request of Ted Waitt. He comes to Amiga, Inc. with 17 years of experience in the home computing industry. Ranging from computer sales and operations, software and hardware design, manufacturing, systems and OEM engineering, to product marketing, with emphasis on technology strategy and product planning. Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Western Michigan University in Computer Systems Engineering. He holds several patents, including the world's first true Convergence product, Gateway's Destination Big Screen PC/TV.

    Jeff worked at Zenith Data Systems for 9 years, where he was Director of the Portable Products Business Unit. He was responsible for two generations of portable product lines, including the award-winning Z-Note. This won 13 major industry awards, such as: Comdex's Best of Show and PC Magazine's Product of the Year. In 1990 he planned and launched a high resolution workstation with co-processor based graphics.



    In 1994 Jeff joined Gateway, and was responsible for future product strategies, which led to the Destination product. He also began Gateway's Strategic Technology Group.

    Over the years he has served on many industry councils and boards, including VESA and the Association for Interactive Media. He developed the software package - WMU's football Statistical Analyzer (St. Ann copyright). All of this began with his first computer, a Commodore Vic 20. Jeff is excited at this opportunity to lead Amiga technology Back for the Future.

    Jeff lives in Sioux City, Iowa with his wife and their 4 children. When not working, he enjoys sailing, skiing, and hiking with his family. Starting in June, check out Jeff's monthly newsletter!

    Dr. Allan Havemose, Head of Technology and Development

    Dr. Allan Havemose has a proven international executive track record spanning startups, turn-arounds and well established companies. He received his Master of Science Degree and Ph.D. from the Mathematical Institute, Technical University of Denmark. Dr. Havemose�s Amiga experience includes being European Technical Support Manager for Amiga - building the European Amiga developers program at Commodore ESCO, Manager Amiga Software Development and Director of Systems software for OS 2.1 to 3.1 at Commodore International in the US. Prior to Commodore he founded COMPAL in 1985, a computer graphics software company developing 2D/3D CAD systems for the Amiga.


    In 1994 he joined Digital Sound Corp. as Vice President of Engineering, developing real-time, fault tolerant media processing servers. In 1996 he was appointed President & CEO of ARK Logic, a leading supplier of graphics chips for the PC industry. He launched ARK Logic�s entry into 3D graphics while streamlining operations. After spinning off ARK Logic, he moved up to the parent company, ICS as Vice President of Strategic Planning. In early 1998 he founded Viking Analytics, developing and trading computerized commodity trading systems. Dr. Havemose shares an IEEE 1991 Information Theory Society Prize Paper Award and holds one US patent. Dr. Havemose enjoys the sun of California while living in San Jose.

    Bill McEwen, Head of Marketing and Software Evangelism

    Bill McEwen has over 12 years experience in the Sales and Marketing field, most recently with the Atrieva Corporation. He has worked for several software companies throughout the years, including ConnectSoft, Inc.; genSoft Development Corporation; and Bumblebee Software. He also has extensive experience with sales, marketing and PR in the US and Europe; and international OEM sales and licensing.



    Bill has been responsible for several magazine awards and Best of Show at the Fall Comdex in 1994. He resides in Ravensdale, Washington, with his wife and young son.
    Fleecy Moss, Developer Relations and Strategic Projects Manager

    Fleecy Moss brings to Amiga, Inc. a unique perspective toward looking to the future of the Amiga. He is a dynamic, open thinker with experience in project management and system design. Fleecy is on the Steering Committee, and is current chairman for the Industry Council of Open Amiga (I.C.O.A.). He graduated from Keele University in 1989 with an Honors Degree in Computer Science and Psychology.



    Currently, Fleecy lives with his lovely wife and two adorable boys in Pennsylvania. His ambition is to finally complete Cannon Fodder. (Four years and still trying!)

    Marilyn Flint, Operations Manager

    Marilyn has over 10 years of corporate sales and operations experience. She spent 7+ years at Adobe Systems, Inc. and was Senior Manager of Adobe Systems Customer Service, Inside Sales, as well as the Pay for Support Organizations. She built Adobe�s inside sales and customer service operation from a small team of 12 into 5 strategic customer retention units, staffing at times over 120 employees that handled cross-departmental customer issues, significantly increasing the companies direct sales revenue. Since then, Marilyn has been an independent contractor working with high tech software start up companies helping them get their feet on the ground. Marilyn began contracting with Amiga, Inc. in July of 1997, and signed on as an employee of Amiga, Inc. this year.



    She has recently moved from the Seattle area to join the Amiga team in North Sioux City, South Dakota. Her energy and enthusiasm is a great asset to Amiga. Marilyn went to school at UC Davis, Sacramento City College, and Long Beach State University. She majored in Psychology and has a Criminal Justice Minor.

    Darreck Lisle, User Group & Events Coordinator

    Darreck joined the Amiga community in the fall of 1987 while stationed in Darmstadt Germany, as a para-trouper sergeant in the US Army. He purchased his first Amiga 500 and 1084s monitor, at the Post Exchange. Over the years Darreck has owned or worked on just about every model of Amiga. Darreck's life long dream was to be a police officer, obtaining a police Science Degree.



    As president of the Siouxland Metro User Group experience as well as his Amiga knowledge, made him well suited for Amiga�s User Group Relations. Darreck�s office humor keeps us all remembering that Amiga is fun! Darreck was born and raised in the Siouxland area, and lives in Iowa with his wife and 2 young boys.
